Project Operations Manager
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the execution of medium-size projects. Each day, you will ensure that all related activities are executed in accordance with procedures, regulations, standards, specifications and targets. You will also showcase your expertise by leading the project team members to achieve project requirements, deliver contracted deliverables, and meet the committed project result.Work model: hybrid #LI-hybridYou will be mainly accountable for:Ensuring smooth and successful project execution by delivering medium voltage drives and additional supplies to customers all over the worldOverseeing commercial, legal, and technical aspects of order fulfillment for multiple customer projects at the same time and with the goal of on-time delivery, customer satisfaction and profitabilityActing as reliable key contact for customers and being escalation point for project issues from order intake until end of warrantyLeading project teams with clear guidelines, tasks and milestones, while motivating and providing feedbackIdentifying project risks in terms of scheduling, financial, contractual, and legal aspects, and initiating appropriate countermeasuresConducting regular financial and operational reporting and representing it to project stakeholdersActively contributing to as well as leading continuous learning and improvement activities and projects (Lean Six Sigma)
Qualifications for the role
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar combined with business acumen (e.g. negotiation, revenue recognition, cost, cash flow), or degree in Business Administration complemented by excellent technical understanding (e.g. variable frequency converters)
- Experience in managing challenging industrial customer projects (2+ years)
- Project management certification (IPMA, PMP, or similar) required
- Structured, reliable leader with the ability to anticipate risks and act upon
- Openness to learn and adapting to change
- Customer committed team player with the skills to communicate efficiently at all levels
- Strong command of English (written and spoken) and preferably German
