Department Manager Product Strategy Classics (100%)

To complement our Product Strategy & Heritage Team we are looking for a


Duration : Permanent
Start: October 2024

In this position, you are responsible for leading the product strategy of our classic collections Portugieser and Portofino as well as the overall female product offer. The responsibilities include management of all strategic tasks for new product developments, performance analysis of existing collections, competitor benchmarking, positioning of product families, customer analysis and pricing. This position leads a team of two and reports directly to the Associate Director Product Strategy and Heritage.

Product Strategy

  • Lead the product strategy development for all classic product lines in cross-functional teams of
  • design, R&D, operations, sales, finance and marketing.
  • Manage the ladies taskforce and the extension of IWC's female product offer.
  • Prepare and execute product strategic meetings with the executive committee.
  • Analyze, monitor and streamline the existing classic product portfolio to increase productivity and
  • reach the companies commercial targets.

Launch management

  • Define 360° product launch plans for novelties in collaboration with all disciplines of marketing and
  • Sales.
  • Perform product presentations and represent IWC as product expert in international events with
  • journalists, collectors and VIC's.
  • Oversee and align the creation of product assets and content for classic collections.

Team lead

  • Lead and manage the Product Manager Special Projects in his daily work.
  • Mentor the Product Strategy intern for optimal team support.


  • Passion for mechanical luxury watches.
  • University Master's Degree with a background in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Industrial Engineering or similar.
  • Profound and established experience in global product management or a related field (preferably in the Luxury, Automotive or FMCG industry).
  • Strong interest and knowledge of the luxury watch industry and main competitor brands.
  • Trustworthy, creative and outgoing personality, willing to regularly interact with members of the executive committee.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Fluent in English and German, French is a plus.
