Are you passionate about analyzing, understanding, and optimizing digital products – both from a quantitative and qualitative perspective?
We are looking for a talented Data Analyst to join our Analytics team within the Technology department at Tamedia. Working with a team of data engineers and data analysts, you will shape the usage of data and support data-informed decision making across Tamedia's core business (e.g. Tages-Anzeiger, 24 heures, Tribune de Genève, Berner Zeitung). You will also work closely with stakeholders from Product Development, Marketing, Sales and Newsrooms to understand their needs and ensure that their decisions are supported by data. This includes analyzing customer data to gain insights into their behavior as well as bringing to state of art our tracking and reporting infrastructure. Your work will help, consequently, to improve also our offers, the marketing activities and our digital products.
Your Mission & Responsibilities
- Define the tracking concepts and the related implementation specifications, maintain and set up the web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics 360 / GA4, Firebase, Parsely) used in Tamedia's apps and websites
- Support the marketing and reader revenue teams by implementing the required tracking to monitor and optimize online campaigns, enable audience (re)targeting and integration with third party marketing / advertising tools
- Analyze the users of Tamedia's digital platforms and the consumption of content, leveraging on our data lake and analytics tools. This includes the preparation of reports, dashboards and presentations
- Work in close collaboration with our editorial, product, marketing, and IT departments to share data and insights to better understand and get closer to existing and potential readers
- Understand the business objectives and make sure that our tracking infrastructure can support the current business challenges
Must-have / Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in the field of Data Analytics, Digital Analytics, or Business Intelligence
- Work experience in digital analytics tools and tag management tools (e.g. Google or Adobe Analytics suite)
- Good knowledge in querying databases and Web technologies (e.g BigQuery, SQL, Javascript, Python)
- Experience working with BI and reporting tools (e.g. Power BI, DataStudio, Tableau)
- Ability to translate unstructured questions into structured hypotheses and to communicate complex findings to an internal audience
- Fluency in English
