Your tasks
- You work on your dissertation thesis in the area of Auditing and Accounting
- Your main focus is empirical fundamental research of phenomena related to Auditing. Central tasks are literature work, collecting and analyzing data, and presenting results in international conferences and in scholarly publications
- You support the teaching activities of Prof. Dr. Florian Eugster, including the supervision of bachelor's and master's theses
Your profile
- High personal motivation and responsible work ethics
- Keen interest in learning how to work scientifically as a base for an academic or professional career
- Excellent marks in your diploma, licentiate, or master studies in business, economics, or related fields
- Excellent understanding in auditing and financial reporting, financial analysis and valuation
- Strong existing computer skills with MS Office; the competent use of a statistical software (e.g. STATA, R, or Python) will be expected throughout the program
- Strong English spoken and written communication skills
The competence center is primarily active in Auditing and Accounting research. Our core competences are teaching, research, and executive education. The tasks of the position include but are not limited to participation in the management of the PhD Programme in Management (PMA), teaching assistance in the English track of the programme for the Master of Accounting and Finance (MAccFin) and at the Bachelor's level.
