Your tasks
- Contribute to current research streams of our research group at the intersection of service design, behavioral science and human-computer interaction. Develop a novel stream of independent, original research based on the current directions of our group;
- Publishing in international, peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings;
- Support industry projects on the design and evaluation of novel service interfaces (e.g., conver-sational interfaces such as voice or chat bots) and tools for advanced user analytics (e.g., text and voice analytics);
- Support teaching activities of our group (e.g., “Digital Business and Transformation”, “Develop-ment of Digital Business Models”, “Business Analytics, Data Science Applications, and Designing Chatbots”).

Your profile
- Excellent master's degree (or equivalent) in a management-related field (management, industrial engineering, information systems, or related disciplines). Ideally initial experience at the intersection of these fields and digital innovation (human-computer interaction, human-centered design);
- Practical experience with human-centered design techniques (i.e., design thinking, lean startup);
- Practical experience in at least one command-line tool for data analysis, ideally R or Python (i.e., hands-on experience beyond university courses);
- Practical experience in empirical research studies (either web-experiments or laboratory experiments);
- A hands-on mentality to get things done;
- A passion for interdisciplinary research;
- Excellent English communication and writing skills; a passion for writing;
- Strong self-discipline, team-orientation, and a curiosity for science.
The Institute of Information Management (IWI-HSG) has been conducting application- and design-oriented research at the interface between business and IT for more than 30 years. The institute consists of five chairs.
