As a Continuous Improvement Specialist, you will drive and foster a culture of Continuous Improvement across the Division of Process Industries based in Baden-Dättwil, Switzerland. Reporting to the Quality and Continuous Improvement Team Leader, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodologies. You, being a change agent, encourage teams to embrace change, challenge the status quo and explore new innovative ways of doing things. You create transparency on initiatives and monitor their progress and effectiveness. You will be instrumental in facilitating process improvement workshops.

Continuous Improvement Manager

Your responsibilities

  • Executing continuous improvement strategy deployment and working with internal stakeholders to standardize processes and develop best practices.
  • Drive transformational improvement projects and proactively lead improvement projects ensuring adherence to time schedule, quality, and cost.
  • Mentoring and coaching continuous improvement projects and developing a pipeline of team members who can drive excellence in process improvement, cost reduction and customer satisfaction.
  • Providing organization-wide visibility of the current portfolio of continuous improvement efforts and tracking progress and value from these efforts.
  • Participate in analyzing complex quality issues, solving these problems, making sure that the action plan is in place and that follow-up is ensured. Support the organization on closed loop lessons learned process.
  • Assisting with the analysis and communication of customer perceptions to guide the local improvement actions toward greater customer satisfaction.
  • Working with the Quality team and in collaboration with the operations, to analyze the costs of non-conformities, identify opportunities for improvement and thereby reduce the costs of poor quality.
  • Develop and analyze operational KPI's and trigger improvement initiatives.


Your background

  • Min. 3 years of experience in several of the following areas: Transformational project leadership, Continuous Improvement, Lean Six Sigma, Process Design, Lean Production, Manufacturing & Quality, Project Quality, Change Management, Audit ISO9001,8D, Problem Solving Methodologies.
  • Proven track record in applying Lean Six Sigma methodologies (min. L6S Yellow belt certified).
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical skills and excellent communication.
  • High customer and solution orientation, paired with a communicative personality and coaching skills.
  • Hands-on and problem-solving mentality to challenge "status quo".
  • 3-5 years of relevant working experience or a degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical Engineering.
  • Fluency in English, Good German level (min. B1), any additional language is an asset.
