Join the Power Play as a Junior Project Engineer at Smart Power/ABB Schweiz AG, located in Baden, Switzerland. Here, you'll serve as a vital member of our engineering team, specializing in uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems. Your role will involve assisting in the design of engineering solutions, including the preparation of drawings, calculations, bills of materials, and engineering instructions and processes. You'll have the opportunity to create or modify pre-engineered designs for equipment, systems, or installations by applying standard design concepts. Your responsibilities
 

• Contributing to design reviews and verification, and implementing modifications as required
• Following work plans and cost estimates for technical solution & site construction management and ensuring the provision of quality deliverables on time and on budget
• Assisting with risk and opportunity assessments and reporting any issues for resolution
• Working with the supply chain and project execution team during the preparation of RFQs and proposals
• Providing assistance and leadership to the entry-level drafting and document control team
• Assisting in the preparation of specific aspects of design assignments for project meetings
• On site management during project execution

Your background
 

• 2+ years of experience in design and execution is preferred, working in electrotechnical environment with Uninterruptable Power Supply Systems or similar products
• Knowledge of project management techniques, processes, and tools, including SAP programs is preferred
• Initiative, creativity and great attention to detail
• A collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills
• Ability to work actively and effectively, self-starter, hardworking, possessing good team spirit skills
• German as a mother langue and English for internal communication is preferred
