You will be accountable for sales of electrification solutions for the mining industry in our Process Industries Division, based in Baden-Dättwil (Switzerland), driving sales volumes and margins.Reporting to the Head of Sales Electrification & Grinding, you will use your experience and drive to build enduring customer relationships through excellent service.

Your responsibilities

  • Acquiring new customers in allocated market
  • Presenting to customers and at industry events
  • Establishing and maintaining customer relationships utilizing «sales force»
  • Defining sales strategies for selected projects
  • Leading the offer process - preparing and ensuring the timely submission of technical and commercial bids
  • Promoting sales bids to customers and negotiating contracts
  • Working with wider sales team to prepare sales plans and develop new market opportunities
  • Using your knowledge of customers' needs and ABB's solutions to propose effective solutions for customers
  • Monitoring customer and market trends along with the marketing team to develop effective marketing activities

Your background

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales or mining industry
  • Sound knowledge of Electrical Power Distribution Solutions consisting of High, Medium and Low Voltage Products and the requirements of the mining industry (EPC/EPCM projects)
  • A proven ability to develop and manage customer relationships
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach, with strong written and spoken communication skills
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering in the field of Power Distribution
  • Fluency in English. German, Spanish or French will be advantageous
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 20-30%
