Your tasks
The Chair of Software Systems Programming and Development (Prof. Barbara Weber) invites for applications for a PhD or postdoctoral position. The position is meant to strengthen our research in one or several of the following areas related to process mining and task mining:
- User behavior analysis of digital trace data
- Visual analysis of digital trace data
- Process Mining support for end-users
and support the chair in teaching activities in software engineering.
Your profile
- You have a university-level master degree or PhD degree in Computer Science.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- You have good programming skills in Java, enjoy teaching, and feel motivated to support courses on software design and software engineering as teaching assistant.
- You have demonstrated your ability to publish results of your research at leading international venues on a regular basis (for Post-doc applications).
- You are motivated to work in an international team of distinguished researchers.
- You are motivated by both personal and team accomplishments.
Our research at the Software Systems Programming and Development Chair at the Institute of Computer Science focuses on adaptive software ranging from flexible process-oriented and event-driven systems to neuro-adaptive software systems and software development tools. We put special emphasis on topics in the fields of business process management (BPM), including process modeling, automation and mining in various contexts (e.g., IoT, user behavior analysis, eye tracking). In addition, we conduct research on human and cognitive aspects in software engineering.
