We are currently seeking a Quality Specialist who will be responsible for ensuring that the assembly and testing processes are stable and comply with the requirements and specifications of UPS products. This role involves maintaining quality control to meet customer expectations and ensure the sustainability of operations. Additionally, the Quality Specialist will represent the customer's voice within local teams and lead the improvement of manufacturing processes.As a Quality Specialist, you will be in charge of defining process control plans and applying inspection techniques, leading and supporting the problem-solving process triggered by internal stakeholders and customers, and driving corrective actions to improve product performance aligned with ABB policies.

Your responsibilities

  • Lead and assist the team in problem-solving activities, drive corrective and preventive action application, define lessons learned, and keep the quality process documentation up to date.
  • Assist with creating and implementing instructions, guidelines, and procedures to drive standardization and consistent execution in operations.
  • Cooperate with product quality, customer quality, and service in escalation processes in case of non-conformances created on the shop floor.
  • Support and train the team and operators in basic quality procedures, verify the correct understanding to ensure product quality with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Manage the warehouse in charge of Process Quality for nonconforming parts, both from physical and economic aspects, and declare disposition about related final use. Also, manage periodical inventory.

Your background

  • Degree in Electronic or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in working with data-driven analytical methodologies for industrial quality and demanding customers.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing electronic and electrotechnical systems.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and continuous improvement approach.
  • Strong analytical skills, familiar with working with structured Root cause Analysis and 8D reports.
  • Good communication skills (written & verbal) in Italian and English.
