Your tasks
Supporting research tasks in the context of the SNF project "ProMiSE: Process Mining Support for End-users" (197032). Examples of activities include:
- Participation in studies with process mining users and data collection
- Analysis of verbal data, such as transcription and coding of think-aloud and interviews
- Analysis of data derived from the interactions of analysts with process mining software
- Proof-of-concept implementation of software support for process mining users
The position offers the opportunity to work on various multidisciplinary topics based on the student's interests and skills.
Your profile
- You are a Bachelor or Master student at the University of St. Gallen
- You are interested in process mining or process analytics
- You have good written and verbal communication skills in English
- You are familiar with conducting user studies (preferable)
- You are familiar with data analysis methods and tools, such as R, Python, SQL, KNIME (preferable)
- You are motivated by both personal and team accomplishments
- You are interested in working with multidisciplinary research topics
- You have an existing work permit
The Software Systems Programming and Development Chair at the Institute of Computer Science (ICS-HSG) covers both the development and evaluation of innovative software artifacts. Our research focuses on adaptive software ranging from flexible process-oriented and event-driven systems to neuro-adaptive software systems and software development tools. We put special emphasis on topics in the fields of business process management (BPM) and process engineering, including process modeling, automation and mining.
