Your tasks
- Support and as well independent work on projects at the interface between theory and practice. The projects usually take place in cooperation with our partners from industry, politics, the consulting sector, and renowned forums and associations
- Publish in international, peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings
- Support teaching activities of our group (e.g., “Digital Business and Transformation”, “Development of Digital Business Models”, “Business Analytics, Data Science Applications, and Designing Chatbots”

Your profile
- Master's degree with a grade average of at least 5.0 (equivalent to 2.0 in D and AT) in a management-related field (management, industrial engineering, information systems, or related disciplines)
- Distinct analytical, structured and independent working style. Ideally (but not necessary) first experience in writing scientific papers
- A hands-on mentality to get things done
- A passion for interdisciplinary research
- Empathy and communication skills to work effectively with a wide range of contacts (in German and English)
The Institute of Information Management (IWI-HSG) has been conducting application- and design-oriented research at the interface between business and IT for more than 30 years. Five chairs belong to the institute. The team at the chair of Prof. Dr. Jan Marco Leimeister strives to be a leading research institution that generates knowledge for the design of high-quality innovations in interdisciplinary collaboration with other research institutions and practice partners.
