Your tasks
- Research and research assistance in theoretical econometrics and mathematical statistics with a focus on e.g. high-dimensional decision problems ("Big data"), causality or treatment assignment problems
- Limited teaching assistance for the courses taught at the chair
Your profile
- The requirements for entering the Graduate Programme in Economics and Finance (GPEF, at the University of St. Gallen) must be satisfied
- A Master's or comparable degree (completed or pending completion) in economics, statistics, or a closely related discipline with excellent grades and considerable coursework in advanced econometrics and statistics
- Familiarity with the statistical software R
- A promising potential for original research

The position is meant to support a young scientist through their doctoral research in Econometrics under the supervision of Prof. Preinerstorfer.
The successful applicant will enter the Ph.D. program (GPEF, specialization: Econometrics)
